On Friday, August 9 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., dogs will celebrate the end of summer and back to school at the Bell Tower Shops in Fort Myers. 

The Bark to School Yappy Hour takes place in center court and features music from DJ Robert McDonald, vendors, photo ops, and a back-to-school costume contest! Many retailers will be offering Yappy Hour specials for dogs and their owners. So, bring your dressed-up pup—and be sure to dress up yourself in your best back-to-school outfits— to try to win one of three Bell Tower backpacks. This fabulous fundraising event benefits the Gulf Coast Humane Society. 

 “The event is fun for the family and a great opportunity to find an adoptable pet and help support a cause,” says the Society’s Development Coordinator, Matthew McWatters. The Society is a no-kill animal welfare organization offering veterinary services, clinics, workshops, and much more.

The regular events are a great chance to hang out with fellow dog lovers, give back to our local community, and possibly take home a forever friend who needs a home—thanks to affordable adoptions.  Plus, you can sip, snack, and stroll through the wonderful shops at Bell Tower. 

Indeed, every month, the Yappy Hour and Night Market are fun evenings at Bell Tower and a chance to get your favorite furry friend and family out on the town. They will all enjoy an evening of music, activities for the kids, and a chance to support the Gulf Coast Humane Society. There will be music, vendors, and, of course, dogs.

Upcoming Yappy Hour and Night Markets take place on Fridays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on September 13, October 11, November 8, and December 13 (enjoy pet photos with Santa).
