Last month, Bonita Springs broke ground for a new fire station in the growing community near Village Walk.

This will be station 26 for the Bonita Springs fire department. The new development is all for the continuing growth in the community. It's estimated that about 10,000 homes have been added to the area.

In an interview with the Naples Daily News, Assistant Chief Greg DeWitt said that they are building this new station to make sure that their response time is cut down.

The Bonita Springs community is excited for the new addition.
